Directory Updates...
We are currently updating entries in the SMCBA Electronics Assembly Directory and Suppliers Guide.
Complfmentary listing in the directories is a benefit of corporate membership (see page 2 of this newsletter). lf your company had an entry in the directories you will shortly receive an update request. Technical Meetings...
SMCBA members are able to attend SMCBA organised Technicai Meetings at little or no cost (we aim for the latter) and to date meetings have been scheduled as follows:
April 15: Front End Tools- Sydney
May 9: Brisbane
June 2: Adelaide
If you are interested in presenting a paper (at least 1 to 1 1/2 hours) at a Technical Meeting please contact us. If you know of anyone who may be visiting from overseas and who would be prepared to make a presentation olease call.

FINAL CALL FOR PAPERS
Surface Mount '97 will feature a number of international speakers and this year the SMCBA would like to encourage local speakers, who are able to deliver information on current methodologies and processes in the electronics industry, to participate in the conference. The conference aims to address issues from design, fabrication, manufacturing and test. Papers should be of at least one hour in duration.

The selected presenters will receive reimbursement of travel expenses. If you are interested in submitting a paper for consideration please fax your details to the SMCBA on fax (03) 9568 0622 no later than April 4 and we send an application to you.

SMCBA Library
A library is being established at the office and members can make an appointment to visit and use the library including viewing IPC training videos. At our new offices we also have the facilities to cater for up to 12 people to view videos in our conference room, there will be minimal fee to cover tea 8 coffee and hire of the videos.

As we are operating a single person office it is necessary to make an appointment to ensure that the office will be open - please call {03) 9568 0599.

Members unable to visit the library can borrow books, magazines, videos. Some of the more expensive items will require a refundable deposit and there is a small hire fee for videos.

Plant Visit to Siemens Ltd

Siemens Ltd have generously offered to host a visit to their Bayswater plant at 10 am on Tuesday March 25. The visit is STRICTLY limited to 20 people only.
