Technical Meetings...
SMCBA members are able to attend SMCBA organised Technical Meetings at little or no cost (we aim for the latter) and to date meetings have been scheduled as follows:
April 9: Brisbane Technology Update and Launch of SM'97
May 13: Melbourne Front End Tools
April 24: Sydney IPC Seminar Launch of SM'97
June 2: Adelaide Technology Update and Launch of SM'97
July 4: Auckland - Launch of SM'97
July 7: Christchurch Launch of SM'97

Have you told us what you want???
We recently forwarded to members a Special Interest Survey to find out what members would like to see presented at Surface Mount '97. Each completed survey returned to us by April 30 will be allocated a 5% discount on conference fees for that member. 1f you have misplaced your survey or you are en employee of a corporate member and didn't receive a form we have reprinted the form on page 2 of this newsletter - please copy it, complete and fax it to us.

Be an Early Bird and $$$ SAVE $$$
In addition to the 5% discount for those completing the Special Interest Survey, a special offer for early bird registrations will be issued in i.he first week of May. The offer will be on full conference registrations and will close on July 18.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The AGM will be held during the breakfast session of Surface Mount '97 an Wednesday August 27.

IPC Executive Director to Visit Australia in May
Thorn Dammrich wil) be in Sydney in May and on May 21 the SMCBA has the opportunity to conduct a seminar with him. We'd like to hear from members what they would like to learn from the IPC eg. technology trends, standards development please fax ideas to (03) 9568 0599.
