CODE MSD: HANDLING MOISTURE SENSITIVE DEVICES
Time: 1.45 pm registration for 2.00 pm start Finish 4.00 pm
REGISTRATION CODE: MSD
Instructor: Mike Ross, Master IPC Trainer
Moisture Sensitive Devices, or "MSDs," have become even more of a critical issue -- because of the higher temperatures involved in lead free soldering.
This updated video training program provides an informative look at this "invisible" issue -- which can save your company time and money in preventing component malfunctions. Operators need to understand why it's important to treat MSDs with care, they are much more likely to avoid common handling errors. The training will show why moisture accumulation is a problem for MSDs and will explain the materials and techniques that can be used to offset humidity exposure in a factory environment. The training will demonstrate proper handling techniques that can prevent popcorning and component failures during solder reflow.
At the end of the training a test will be given and certificates issued to those attaining the required pass mark.
